Lymphatic Massage

The lymphatic system is responsible for immune system regulation, fluid and wastes removal. It is what helps rid the body of any toxins that may cause illness. When the lymphatic system slows down or becomes blocked, the fluids begin to build up causing the entire body to feel tired and heavy, making us susceptible to catching sicknesses.

The session begins with you laying face up on the table under linens. Lymphatic massage stimulates the flow of lymph with very light {feathery} strokes on the surface of the skin, tracing the lymphatic routes, combined with passive joint movements and client breath work .The session lasts for one hour. After 40 minutes, following the massage, the session ends with me leaving the room and you lying on the table resting quietly for at least 15 minutes. Physical activity should be limited for the remainder of the day. This treatment strengthens the body against allergies, colds, colitis, arthritis, edema, psoriasis, sinusitis and sinus congestion and poor weight balance. Treatments for these conditions require once or twice per week until symptoms are alleviated.

Lymphatic massage is great for healthy people too! For health maintenance, lymphatic massage protects and conditions the immune system. Besides keeping lymph draining normally, the massage treatment will help the immune system rid itself of the toxins which accumulate through exercise {lactic acid, various proteins} and environmental pollutants. Frequency of massage treatments should be once per month on a continuing basis.
