About Barbette Curran

I graduated from the New Mexico Academy of Massage and Healing Arts in Santa Fe, New Mexico in 1994. After 20 years of working in the natural foods business, operating “Barbette’s Feast” catering business, and working with people with disabilities as a Home Care Provider, my dedication to healthy living led me to pursue a career in Massage Therapy.

I received my New Mexico State License and National Certification in Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork in 1994. In the year 2000, I became certified in LaStone Therapy when I trained with Mary Nelson, the founder and originator, in Tucson Arizona.  I continued my education, when in 2007 I became certified in ZERO BALANCING. I am a Professional member of the A.M.T.A. the American Massage Therapy Association and the Z.B.H.A. the Zero Balancing Health Association. Through my career I continue to add to my bodywork techniques and expertise with required continuing education classes.

My California license number is # 26772. My National Certification in Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork number is #1693.

My other passions include being in the outdoors doing organic gardening, where I grow my own vegetables, flowers and herbs to use throughout the year. The zinnias that inspired this website come straight from my garden; I love the bright colors and texture of this old fashion flower.

I also enjoy canning and dehydrating my bountiful produce, kayaking, using my bicycle to commute to work, run errands, and going to my garden. During the winter you will find me skiing, ice skating and snow shoeing. I am an avid knitter, and you will be drawn to the wonderful aromas in my kitchen preparing delectable entrees and baked goodies for me and my friends.

In the year 2000, I embarked on a road trip to Tucson, Arizona and trained with Mary Nelson, the founder and originator of La Stone Therapy
